Winter's Warmth by Dreamerwhit95 Winter's Warmth by Dreamerwhit95
EDIT: Added some shadows in the BG as suggested, added a touch more blue to the BG as well, but not a significant amount, I dont want it to compete with Selinaaaaaa

Merry Christmas (late) and Happy New Year!

I meant to have this done by Christmas, but you know, being home with family and friends means
spending time with them and being busy! It's a good problem I'd say!
Im rather happy with how this turned out :3

Selina loves to marvel at the beauty of little things, some things most people would take for granted,
she would much rather be out in little towns and quiet ordinary places rather than being cooped up in an extravagant castle surrounded by superficial treasures.
I know the bird thing is probably a bit cliche~ but I originally planned this for a christmas picture so the thought of a pop of read against snow and winter greens sounded lovely to me XD

Ive never seen a real snow like this before though :C only about 2 quick 1-day flurries in this warm southern town xD I wish I was in her place! hahah

Selina is my character, do not use without permission

It looks nice. ^_^

It doesn't snow all that much where I'm at, either, and I live pretty far north, but it's snowed maybe around four inches twice this winter, which is nice. And I used to live somewhere with a high elevation when I was little (cliff right in my backyard, with valleys and hills beyond it) and it would snow there somewhat often. There's another thing that can happen, though, which is freezing rain. It isn't snow, but rain that covers everything and freezes right away. The branches in your foreground has freezing rain, because they're covered in ice. If it was just snow, there wouldn't be ice or icicles on the branches, but instead a little soft snow on top of them. I wasn't sure if you'd know about that. But it's okay with freezing rain, because it can snow after freezing rain (but it would probably be bad for the trees. Freezing rain is heavy, and so is (wet, sticky) snow. Either one can weigh down trees so much that they look strange, but either one also looks nice when it's not too much).

yeah I understand and that makes sense, this I pulled directly from a photo reference though
however the one time i have experienced snow there was a freezing rain first and then it snowed right after,
so there was a mix of ice and snow

Ah, this is so beautiful. And warm indeed. I know  people said it already but I really like the foreground and the frozen branches and the lil blur effects on em for focus. The background makes we wanna look deeper and deeper because you put a bunch of detail into it and I suddenly feel up for a walk in the snow woods. Yeah, the bird thing is cliche, but how well its done, is not. And you did it wonderfully.

The fuzzy bits on her outfit are to die for and her, she's gorgeous. Your ladies are always so pretty and amazingly huggable. Just, A+ mang. Much class, much christmas. Love it. :iconlazycryplz:
